Note, because of the dual use, our tasting room may be closed during harvest and fermentation times . Please check in advance during October and November months.
Painted wine barrels of Southern Oregon land and seascapes by Paula Guzzo are featured as seating in the GFV Tasting Room along with displays of other artwork that have been or will be painted on barrels as they are retired from our production. The barrels and art are for guests to view and enjoy and painted barrels and art are available for purchase.
Guzzo Family Vineyard is a boutique winery was established in 2012 in Murphy Oregon. The GFV Tasting Room opened late 2018 and offers a safe and relaxing environment with open air seating for up to 25 guests.
Tony and Paula Guzzo are total hands-on winemakers during the entire wine making process, production and bottling of limited quantities of award winning Red wines.
This small Italian style vineyard is located on the edge of the Applegate Valley AVA producing the first small batches of GFV reserve dessert wines in 2017. The majority of our grapes are purchased from select Rogue and Applegate Valley growers for our main varietals.
Our unique winemaking technique to barrel age in new 30 gallon and 1 year old American Oak and ages wine in less time than in the traditional larger barrels, then the wine is moved into stainless steel tanks and then bottle aged, resulting in one of the best hand crafted red wines and "crazy good" wine tasting experiences possible.
This technique may not follow the traditions of winemaking and GFV may be seen as a renegade in the spirit of the original "garagiste" in the winemaking world.
These Missouri Oak barrels are purchased from The Oak Cooperage and creates beautiful fruit flavors with hints of vanilla "Find out more" about these barrels on the link below.
As many of you may already know, Oregon's Governor Brown announced approval of counties to begin the first phase of reopening on Friday, May 15. Requirements include that our tables are at least six (6) feet apart so that at least six (6) feet between parties is maintained including when customers approach or leave tables. We must limit parties to 6 people or fewer in one group at shared seating situations who have chosen to congregate together. People in the same party seated at the same table need not be 6 feet apart but must be at least six (6) feet from other seated parties. The guidelines encourage all customers wear cloth, paper or disposable face coverings but customers do not need to wear face coverings while seated at the table. You are able to bring in your own snacks and/or picnic items.
We will have the glass door in our tasting room open to accommodate open air seating and follow the hand hygiene (frequent and proper hand washing) and frequently disinfect all common areas, contact surfaces at tables and seats between each customer visit. It is of the utmost importance to us and for our visitors to remain safe.
We are here for you in these ever changing times and appreciate your support! We wish everyone and their families good health, and look forward to serving you !
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call us at 541-862-8617.
Thank you!

It was an honor that The Southern Oregon Wine Scene Fall/Winter 2019 Issue include an article (SEE LINK BELOW FOR FULL ARTICLE) on Paula's painted wine barrel art! Photography by Steven Addington.
The tasting room celebrated it's 1st year anniversary in July 2019 with a growing Wine Club Membership and 2 Member Appreciation Events held at the beautiful Fields Venue with David Modica providing his captivating music; and then several sit down release and pairing parties in our tasting room in November.
We are so blessed and grateful for the outpouring of support from all of our family and friends of GFV. It is YOU that made this year so much fun. We have enjoyed sharing our story with so many of you and look forward to this new year.
Thank you so much for making us one of your wine tasting destinations.
Here's to you!
Cheers!
Tony and Paula Guzzo
